Automated Messages provides a powerful way of engaging with your clients. By default, Bookem sets up a few default Automated Messages for appointment-related notifications:
Two Reminders (a day before and an hour before and appointment)
A notification for Booking Created
A notification for Booking Cancellation
Booking Change notification (only when the start time is changed)
For businesses that take online booking requests, as opposed to automatically confirmed online bookings the following notifications are also set up:
Client Booking Request notification
Booking Denied notification
Booking Accepted notification
Booking Confirmed notification
You can modify or delete any of these, or add more automated messages for Notifications and Reminders.
The following types of Automated Messages are also available:
Follow up reminders are typically used for messaging clients after their last appointment, for example:
a two week reminder after their last rehab session that it's time for their next one.
a 6 month reminder after their last Dental Cleaning session to reschedule another.
Survey messages 1 day after their appointment: "Please reply to this message with a rating out of 5 for your session yesterday along with any other comments. We value your feedback!"
Reminding a client to book again say two days after their appointment was cancelled and not re-booked.
Custom notifications lets you create an automated message from scratch.
Have a look at the short video below to see how to quickly create a Follow-up reminder. In this example, all clients that have had a Dental Cleaning completed will receive an SMS or email (if no cellphone number is provided) 6 months after their last appointment. If a client has made another booking in the future for a Dental Cleaning appointment, a follow-up reminder won’t be sent to this client.
