Using Bookem to manage and send documents helps streamline your administrative tasks.
Sending documents are useful for documents such as
Referral letters
Prescriptions
Sick notes
Post-consultation programs (eg. meal plans, exercise plans, rehab plans)
or any other documents that you might regularly need to email, print or send a link for
It's important to have appropriate templates set up for each of these. Bookem provides basic templates, but you can customise them to suit your needs.
Note: sending a link to a document sends a link to that saved version of the document. Future edits to the document will need to be sent again, using a fresh link using any of the options below.
Follow these steps:
Go to the client's profile
Navigate to the 'Documents' tab
You can open an existing document or create a new one from a template
Open an existing document or document template and click Create to save the document
Now, click 'Download', 'Send' or 'Copy link'
Clicking "Download"
The document will be saved to your computer as a PDF. You can then send or file it as necessary.
Clicking "Send"
A popup will prompt you to send the link to the client. You can enter a different email address if needed. Multiple email addresses can also be entered. The link will open the PDF version of the document.
Clicking "Copy link"
This will copy the link to your device's clipboard. It can be pasted to be shared via WhatsApp, email, SMS, etc.
Important note on shared document links: When sharing a link, you are sharing that saved version of the document. If any changes are made after sharing the link, they will not be reflected - the original saved document will still be shown. You need to send a new link if updates are made that need to be sent.
