How to get the latest version of Bookem or force an update

Bookem updates regularly and will prompt you to update or be reminded in 5 minutes. Before clicking 'update' to load the latest version finish any unsaved work first.

Force an update

Occasionally, your browser may not fetch the latest version, necessitating a hard reset, especially with unstable internet or rare issues from 'bad service workers'.

Follow these steps to resolve it:

  • Go to your browser and enter https://app.bookem.com/force-update in your browser

  • If that doesn't work, follow the additional steps provided below

Desktop

  • On Chrome: On your keyboard, simply click on Shift + Ctrl + r

  • On Safari: Click the Safari button in the top left corner

    Open Safari preferences and select the 'Privacy tab'

    click 'Manage Website Data'

  • On Firefox: Follow the same steps as for chrome.

iOS (iPhones or iPads)

  1. Tap on 'Settings' 

  2. Scroll down to 'Safari'

  3. Scroll down and click on 'Clear History and Website Data'

  4. Click 'Confirm'

Android (Phone or tablet)

  1. Open the Chrome app 

  2. On the top right, tap 'More'

  3. Tap 'History > Clear browsing data'

  4. Select a time range to delete data for

  5. Now, check the boxes for 'Cookies and site data' and 'Cached images and files'

  6. Click 'Clear data'
