How to manage multiple currencies in Bookem

Bookem makes it easy to support clients in different countries by letting you set a different currency for each location. That means your invoices, payments and client balances are always accurate - no matter where you're working from.

What to know

To enable multiple currencies, you’ll need to keep separate client accounts per location. Once that’s set, you can assign a different currency to each one.

Step-by-step setup

1. Keep client accounts separate

  • Go to Settings > Payments & invoicing

  • Under Client accounts, tick Maintain separate client accounts for each location

  • This allows each location to have its own invoicing, balance, history and currency

If this isn’t enabled, Bookem will always default to your primary location’s currency.

2. Assign a currency to each location

  • Go to Settings > Locations

  • Click into each location and choose the right currency from the Currency dropdown

What your clients will see

Clients will always be billed in the currency of the location linked to their appointment - not their own location. It’s a simple way to keep things consistent and compliant.
