Adding a file to a document

Bookem let's you attach files to a client’s document to keep all related info like lab results, referrals, or consent forms all in one place. Added files remain part of the client's record and can be accessed anytime by opening the document.

Here’s how

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Clients and search for the client’s name

2. Open the Documents tab on the client’s profile

3. Open an existing document, or click '+ New document' to add a new one

4. Inside the document, click the paperclip icon to add a file

5. Search and select the file from your device to upload it

6. The file will now be attached to the document and saved on the client’s profile.

💡 Pro-tip: 

Use clear, descriptive file names so attachments are easy to identify later.

Lost a file because you didn't save?

File attachments are temporary and saved only when a document is created. Bookem deletes them after 30 days if unassociated; recovery is possible for an extra 60 days.
