Bookem can send messages to clients by email or SMS, either automatically or manually. You can view a record of these messages in the client profile to confirm that they were sent.
View messages sent to a client
- Go to Clients
- Open the client profile
- Navigate to the 'Messages' tab
This tab shows the history of emails and SMS messages sent to and from Bookem and the client.
What the message status means
- Sent (email)
This means the email was successfully sent from Bookem and accepted by the recipient’s mail server. - Sent (SMS)
This means the SMS was successfully handed over to our SMS provider for delivery. - Delivered
This means the SMS was successfully delivered to the recipient’s device. - Sent to network
This means the SMS was handed over to the mobile network (for example MTN, Vodacom, or Telkom), but no delivery report was received. The message may still have been delivered, but the network did not return confirmation. - Failed at network
This means the mobile network was unable to deliver the SMS to the device after multiple attempts. This is usually due to network issues, such as poor signal or temporary problems with the cell tower. - Not sent, insufficient tokens
This means your SMS was not sent due to not having enough tokens. - Undelivered
The message was not delivered. - Failed
Bookem was unable to send the message.
Proof of delivery
Bookem can confirm that an email or SMS was sent successfully, but it cannot provide proof that the message arrived to the client’s inbox or opened.
Once the message leaves Bookem’s server and is accepted by the recipient’s mail server, delivery is handled by the client’s email provider (for example Gmail or Outlook). Email providers do not offer reliable proof that a standard email was delivered to the inbox or read by the recipient.
