Bookem's video call feature lets you share your screen during calls to make sessions more interactive.
This article explains why screen sharing might not work on a Mac and how to fix it.
Note that you can choose to share your entire screen, a specific window, or an individual Chrome tab, depending on your needs.
1.Open Chrome on macOS and attempt to share your screen
2. Selecting Entire Screen or Window may prevent proper screen sharing as only audio and camera are recorded if these options are chosen
3. Test the Chrome Tab option to confirm that it works correctly
If screen sharing fails, you may see an error message from Bookem:
This issue is due to missing privacy permissions in macOS that prevent Chrome from recording your screen.
To address this issue, you will need to adjust your macOS system preferences to allow screen recording for Chrome.
Follow these steps:
Open your Mac System Preferences
Open Security & Privacy
Open the Privacy tab.
Scroll the left side list until you find the Screen Recording options.
In the apps list, find Chrome and ensure that the app is allowed.
You will be prompted to restart Chrome in order to see the changes. Once that is done, you will now be able to record your screen, independently of the screen-sharing option you choose before starting a maze.
