When sending emails from Bookem, long links can look messy. Instead, you can use hyperlinks to make your emails cleaner and more professional.
This method works in two places:
⚠️ Note: Hyperlinks only work in emails. They do not apply to SMS messages.
In the message editor, add square brackets [ ] around your text (the part you want the patient to click)
Immediately after, add round brackets ( ) containing the variable link
The format looks like this:
Examples
[Patient intake and consent form](#linktopatientconsentform)
[Link to booking](#linktobooking)
[Video call link](#videocalllink)
[Link to make new booking](#linktomakenewbooking)
This way, instead of showing a long URL, your patient will just see neat clickable text
Navigate to the Messages tab
Use the same [square bracket](round bracket) method:
The format looks like this:
Examples
[this link](#invoicelink)
[payment link](#paymentlink)
You can create your own links in Bookem by adding [display text](full URL) in the message editor, not just using preset variable links.
For example: [Leave us a Google review](https://g.page/r/yourreviewlink)
Creating custom links is useful for sharing Google Reviews, your website, payment pages, or any external resource.
